I`m really glad there are still so many people out there who love George Jones,
what can one say about George ? even to say he is the greatest country singer of all time seems totally inadequate. George Jones did a show in Aberdeen Scotland in the late 70`s and I was there! It was totally awesome and I can hardly believe to this day that I`ve actually seen him in a live performance and that is something I will never forget. My sincere thanks go to all the people who put this music on Y.T.

Waylon quoted “If everyone could sing like they wanted,they’d all sound like George Jones”That quote has been copied by many artists.Johnny Cash was once asked in his opinion who is the best voice in Country Music and he said “you mean other than George Jones”?Also,in a book called”America’s Music- The roots of Country”under each artists picture they listed a long list of accomplishments-under Jones pic there was only 1 line”Simply the finest singer to ever grace the earth”

George Jones is the best male country music singer of all times! One of my friends recently agreed he was great but cited Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson as better. I responded that they all three were legends but Garth and Alan were like a Cadilliac and a Lincoln but George was a Rolls Royce! And if she didn’t believe me, ask Garth and Alan. She has still yet to respond. This video shows George’s voice at its absolute best!!!! Thank you George!!!!

Donnieboyh, could not have said it better…the music chose George, and George brings it like no one can…a life time of alcohol, love and regrets….that IS country music. This can not be bought, produced or CGI. You either lived it or you didn’t.
One thing about George Jones. You can hear the regret and sadness about the way he lived. Moreover The Country Music fans forgive him and love him. Not so with the others. I won’t name names but they couldn’t get away with what George has. . He is the only guy that couldn’t kill his career no matter what he did. Most people can’t even get a record deal but George couldn’t lose his. The music chose him and made him sing. Pretty wild!
